It's a jungle out there for Blu, Jewel and their three kids after
they're hurtled Rio de Janeiro to the wilds of the Amazon. As Blu tries
to fit in, he goes beak-to-beak with the vengeful Nigel, and meets the
most fearsome adversary of all: his father-in-law.

The Buzz: Director Carlos
Saldanha, distributor Twentieth Century Fox, and animation house Blue
Sky Studios are looking beyond the slightly creaky Ice Age
franchise and clearly this sequel represents their intention of
developing a second global phenomenon. The first Brazilian adventure was
successful in the U.S. but the real measure of its appeal lay elsewhere
and given the overseas popularity of the most recent Ice Age
($715 million vs. $160 million in the States) we hope to see an
increasingly diverse cast sign up for the third chapter.
